WAP4220-E Wi-Fi5 Industrial Wireless Client
Product Overview
The WAP4220-E is an industrial wireless client based on IEEE 802.11ac technology. It offers rich functionality, high performance, and exceptional reliability, meeting the WLAN application requirements of industrial scenarios.
The WAP4220-E is designed for industrial automation scenarios such as smart manufacturing and intelligent warehousing, providing mobile connectivity for AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) and IoT terminals. When operating in wireless client mode, it can be installed on AGVs to deliver low packet loss, low latency, and fast wireless handover capabilities, ensuring uninterrupted navigation commands. It also supports AP mode, enabling rapid networking between two devices (one as AP, one as client) for efficient industrial data collection and transmission.

Product Features
Millisecond-Level Seamless Roaming
In Client mode, the WAP4220-E establishes dual links (2.4GHz and 5GHz) with the wireless network. One link operates as the primary (data forwarding), while the other serves as a backup. By continuously monitoring link quality and dynamically switching to the optimal path, the device ensures minimal packet loss during handovers, maintaining stable wireless connectivity for AGVs.
Robust Design for Harsh Environments
Built with industrial-grade components, it operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. The Phoenix terminal power input interface prevents disconnections caused by vibrations.
Full Compliance with 802.11ac Technology
Compliant with the latest 802.11ac Wave2 standard, the WAP4220-E delivers 2-stream spatial multiplexing with up to 867Mbps wireless speed and 1167Mbps total access capacity, enhancing coverage, stability, and high-density connectivity.
Multi-Role Wireless Support
Supports Fit AP, Fat AP, Client, WDS Bridging, Routing, and other modes, switchable via a web interface for flexible deployment.
MAC Address Cloning
In Client mode, clones the MAC address of downstream LAN devices for seamless integration into existing networks without modifying security policies.
Dual Ethernet Ports
Dual Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports enable data backup and flexible networking for scenarios requiring network isolation.
MU-MIMO Technology
Supports MU-MIMO for simultaneous data transmission to multiple terminals, significantly improving spectrum efficiency and user capacity compared to 802.11n and 802.11ac Wave1.
Security & Authentication
Supports DTLS/CAPWAP tunnel encryption (Fit AP mode), 802.1X Client authentication, and advanced security protocols including WPA3, WPA2, MAC, Portal, SMS, and WeChat authentication.
Flexible Forwarding Policies
Supports centralized, local, and NAT forwarding modes for diverse networking needs. Centralized forwarding enables traffic management, while local forwarding reduces bandwidth costs.
Hardware-Based Encryption
Accelerates encryption/decryption (WPA3-Enterprise, WPA3-PSK, etc.) without performance degradation.
IPv4/IPv6 Dual-Stack Support
Compatible with both IPv4 and IPv6 networks in AP mode.
